July 2021 - JNE is trusted to distribute free medicines and vitamin supplements initiated by the West Java Provincial Government to thousands of COVID-19 patients doing self-isolation (known as ISOMAN). The high number of COVID-19cases, especially in West Java, has encouraged JNE to immediately send the medicines and multivitamins to the hands of the recipients.
Limited mobility and difficulties in obtaining medicines during the pandemic situations have become problems to face together. JNE was recommended by the government to continuously operate and distribute logistics and other needs and enthusiastically welcomed this program. By implementing high standards of health protocols, JNE is ready to support and succeed the delivery of medicines and multivitamins to all regions in West Java.
During the Implementation of Emergency Restrictions on Community Activities (known as PKKM/ Pemberlakuakn Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat), the government prioritizes the medicine distribution handling. West Java Governor, Ridwan Kamil said, "the medicine distribution handling should be the first priority. We have collaborated with the courier or delivery companies to immediately deliver the medicines within a day to the patients in West Java," he said.
JNE's readiness in handling this program includes shipments throughout West Java areas with more than 500 shipments per day, with an estimated delivery time at the same day or maximally the next day.
Iyus Rustandi, Head of JNE Bandung Branch, said, "JNE has fully supported this program, and we will continuously maximize our excellent service by well implementing the health protocols".
The disinfectants are routinely sprayed on the packages and working places. The employees' body temperatures are always checked before entering the working areas. The facilities, such as hand washing stations and hand sanitizers, are regularly checked and cleaned. Physical distancing in the working areas is well implemented. Work from Home (WFH) is also implemented for employees who possibly work from their homes. The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always worn by the JNE employees during the delivery processes and in the working areas to ensure that the recipients are safe and convenient using the JNE services, Iyus further explained.
