On its 31st Anniversary, November 26, 2021, JNE received a very special gift; Metro TV's 'People of the Year 2021' award for the Corporation Participation Against Pandemic category.
This award was given in recognition of JNE's contributions to the government's program to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. M. Feriadi Soeprapto, President Director of JNE, accepted the award personally.
This award was given out exactly two days before JNE's 31st anniversary, on Wednesday (11/24/2021). The 2021 People of the Year award was given in honour of Metro TV's 21st anniversary, with the theme "Togetherness Gives Meaning," at the Metro TV Grand Studio in Kembangan, West Jakarta.
Throughout the nearly two-year-long Covid-19 pandemic, JNE is regarded by the jury as continuing to collaborate closely with the government and other parties to participate in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. One of them is the contribution of JNE so far by distributing various kinds of assistance for free.
These various aids, such as medical supplies, basic necessities, and gas cylinders, are provided by various parties, including the Media Group, to various regions throughout Indonesia. JNE has provided free shipping worth more than Rp. 13 billion in total.
According to Don Bosco Salamun, Chair of the 2021 People of The Year Jury, during the Covid-19 pandemic, where anxiety, uncertainty, and worry hit all lines of life, there were real roles of various parties, including several companies that intervened to provide assistance so that it is immediately delivered to the society.
"We, the jury, conducted surveys, collected data, and went directly to the field to see the results and community impacts were aimed for." In his remarks, Don Bosco, President Director of Metro TV, said, "We should be grateful that the pandemic has begun to slow down in the last few months."
"It is difficult for us to determine which corporation or company is the best, as they are directly involved in the success of the government's program against the Covid-19 pandemic." "However, three companies were ultimately chosen as People of the Year 2021 in the category of Corporation Participation Against Pandemic," he continued.
Meanwhile, M. Feriadi expressed his gratitude on this occasion to Metro TV, where this award is presented to JNE Knights and Heroes throughout Indonesia who have worked hard to ensure the successful distribution of aid to overcome Covid-19 throughout Indonesia. This is consistent with JNE's tagline, "Connecting Happiness."

JNE's award is an averment that for 31 years, JNE has continued to spread kindness throughout Indonesia. "We are proud that the founder of JNE's legacy can still be carried out today at the age of 31," Feriadi said.
