The second batch of mass vaccine programs organized by PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir or known by another name JNE has ended. During approximately three weeks of implementation, from August 6-28, it was recorded that around 9,191 people had been vaccinated.
Just like the first batch which was held on July 6-24 2021, the second batch was also held at Gor Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. President Director of JNE Mohammad Feriadi said that the public's interest in the second wave of vaccination was extraordinary and even increased compared to the previous one, where in the first wave there were 8,752 people who were served by vaccination.
"In this second stage, we are targeting 7,500 people to be vaccinated. However, the public's interest was extraordinary, where there were 9,482 people who registered. However, after the screening process was carried out, only 9,191 people passed for the vaccine," said Feri at the closing ceremony of the JNE mass vaccination program, Saturday (28/8).
Feri also said that the mass vaccination program was carried out as a form of opportunity to support government programs to accelerate the formation of herd immunity in the community. Thus, it is hoped that the Covid-19 pandemic will be quickly resolved.
"In accordance with its tagline connecting happiness, JNE always wants to connect happiness, provide service, not only in terms of delivery, but JNE also wants to be able to make a meaningful contribution, where during this pandemic of course we hope that there will be more companies." who will be called upon to carry out the same program,” added Feri.
JNE itself, continued Feri, always wanted to take part and wanted to contribute to society. There have been many programs carried out by JNE related to the pandemic. As a company, Feri said that success is determined not only by the amount of turnover and revenue obtained but also by how much benefit it can provide to the community.
Meanwhile, West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto who also attended the closing of the second wave of the vaccination program also gave his appreciation to JNE for the implementation of the program.
“This is truly an honor and a matter of pride. On behalf of the Provincial Governments of DKI Jakarta and West Jakarta, we thank you for this good cooperation, so that vaccine activities can be carried out by recording a large number of participants," he said on the same occasion.
According to Uus, the existence of the JNE vaccine program in the West Jakarta area has also boosted the percentage of the population in West Jakarta, especially in the Grogol Petamburan sub-district who has been vaccinated. According to him, the Grogol Petamburan sub-district is one of the fastest vaccine achievers.
Currently, it is said, Grogol Petamburan has reached 63% of the people who have been vaccinated. "In England, Pak Feri said it was 63%, meaning Grogol Petamburan is already at the same level as England," he said.
