JNE Inaugurates the Thousand Islands Pramuka Island Sales Counter to Make it Easy for Customers

One of the JNE network expansion targets in 2021 for the DKI Jakarta Province is on Pramuka Island, Seribu Islands.

Pramuka Island is one of the islands in the Thousand Islands group with an area of ​​16 ha, with a population of 2000 people, this island has the potential for creative economy, tourism and nature conservation. Therefore, over time with the increase in the creative industry and as a leading tourist destination in the Thousand Islands, JNE sees considerable potential and deserves special attention. To respond to these developments, in accordance with JNE's commitment to continue to innovate, one of which is infrastructure. So JNE inaugurated the Thousand Islands Pramuka Island Sales Counter Thursday, October 7, 2020.

The Pramuka Island Sales Counter was inaugurated directly by the JNE Board of Directors, namely, M. Feriadi Soeprapto as President Director, Chandra Fireta as Director, Edi Santoso as Director and Satriadi as Jakarta Regional Sales Head. Also present was the Regent of the Thousand Islands, Junaedi S. Sos. MSi and his staff witnessed the inauguration in person by implementing health protocols of wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance (3M).

M. Feriadi Soeprapto as the President Director, in his remarks said, "That in improving services and infrastructure for the expansion of the JNE network will have an impact on the absorption of labor around the establishment of the Sales Counter. "This is one form of infrastructure development that is oriented to excellence service in stages in the Jakarta and Thousand Islands area. In addition to making customers more comfortable in every package delivery activity, JNE's steps also provide benefits and happiness for the community in accordance with the spirit of the Connecting Happiness tagline. Muhammad Fadjar Kurniawan as Deputy Regent of the Thousand Islands said, Pramuka Island is the administrative and administrative center of the Thousand Islands Administrative District. "With the presence of JNE, it adds to the complete infrastructure supporting the government on this island, especially in the logistics sector which can provide benefits and convenience to the entire community in the package delivery process, especially the buying and selling process for MSME actors so that they can improve the economy," he said.

This new building that has been built has representative office facilities, air-conditioned cash counters, standardized buildings, adequate parking and a fairly large warehouse. This Sales Counter will also have an increased capability to handle many packages per day. With the establishment of this sales counter, it can accommodate the needs of creative industry players, online sellers, MSMEs and marketplaces that continue to grow very significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
