July 2021 – This year, Eid al-Adha 1442 H commemorates with implementing health protocol procedures and more and more people are in need because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. JNE’s spirit in making sacrifices this year has not diminished. JNE with the spirit of sharing, loving and caring, continues to sacrifice by distributing over 700 kg of sacrificial meat in collaboration with philanthropic institutions in Sukabumi.
Activities carried out with DT (Darul Tauhid) Peduli in the Qurban Fest program distributed in Ciherang Village, Cijangkar Village, Nyalindung District, Sukabumi. This area is a location that is affected by land movement disasters, so many residents have fled their homes because of the disaster. This year, apart from working with DT Peduli, JNE is also working with ACT, and Sehati Gerak Bersama. In addition, JNE Sukabumi also performed qurban independently, which was carried out by JNE employees, with 2 cows and 15 goats as qurban animals.
JNE Sukabumi Branch Manager Tri Herry said the spirit of delivering happiness according to the Connecting Happiness tagline must continue to be realized. He said, Eid al-Adha is a very good momentum to share and help others, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With the spirit of sacrifice and prayers from the entire community, we all hope that this pandemic condition can end soon and we can gather again to celebrate Eid al-Adha next in better conditions,” he said.
Tri added that the principle of sharing instilled by the founder of JNE, the late. H. Soeprapto Soeparno will continue to be carried out in any situation or condition, “Pak Prapto emphasized the principle of giving alms. Sharing with employees and the surrounding community is an obligation that must continue to be carried out. Especially in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting the ecosystem by collaborating and sharing is one solution,” he said.
