One of JNE’s CSR is “Go Community”. JNE Expedition of Cultures aimed to concern on community activities and preservation of Indonesian cultures.
Yayasan Sobat Budaya (Friends of Cultures Foundation) initiated a cultural list collecting movement called “Gerakan Sejuta Data Budaya” (One Million Data of Cultures Movement) as a thoughtfulness and respond to claim of Indonesian cultures by foreign parties. This intensive movement is using information technology (especially through social media and website) and aimed to invite and involve various public parties to concern on and actively participate in giving information and documenting the richness of Indonesian (traditional) cultures in their own areas.
Later, those documented cultures data will be collaboratively accessed and managed by public society. JNE will provide financial and logistic supports to Friends of Cultures Foundation activities such as Expedition of Cultures to many cities of Indonesia. This expedition is aimed to collect data of Indonesian traditional cultures.
